Well the weather started off glorious this morning and then started to go down hill - temp this afternoon felt very cold on the hands. Despite this we had a great day's flying with some old and new models in the air - here are some photos from the day and you have to look carefully to see Paul H's spitfire in some of the images - enjoy.
Well our groundsman has been busy cutting and straightening the runways and he has done a terrific job - the last few days have been good for flying and here are a few shots for you to enjoy - Paul H brought up some of his winter creations and even brought a converted Lidl - yes I did say the supermarket Lidl - glider which he flew successfully and it was great to see Dick was up again and getting enthused for the year ahead - hope to see more of you on the field soon.
The last week or so has been very unseasonable to say the least and happy to see it brought out a nice selection of pilots and models - enjoy the photos and hope to see you all on the field soon.
A few hardy souls travelled up to the field to day only to find 4" of the white stuff already there - some of us just could not drive up past the gate while others made the journey with ease. Once we all arrived we were greeted by some magical blue sky's and picture postcard views. John F , Fred and Olly took to the air and entertained us all with some great takeoffs, touch and go's and classy flying - all with some suitable and generally un-helpfull banter and heckling from the rest of us - all of this was captured by Andy and Fred for posterity and hopefully the footage will appear late in a Club DVD for all to enjoy.
Well thankfully the reasonable weather has continued and we have had a good turn out of flyers since Xmas - here are a few shots from yesterday to enjoy - not sure what the lads are pointing at - maybe Santa on his return ????? The light was very poor hence the quality of the photos - which are courtesy of Fred.
