Welcome to the Roundwood Model Aero Club website. We hope you find it informative and gives you a glimpse at the fascinating and infectious world of Radio Controlled Model Aircraft. These models are generally constructed from a very light wood known as Balsa wood although other materials such as Plywood, Fibre glass and Expanded polystyrene are used. These models are powered by a variety of engines sizes and are run on Methanol. The larger and more powerful aircraft can have Petrol or jet engines running on keroscene fitted. All models are controlled from the ground by the pilot by means of a Radio link to the aircraft. Please sign our Guestbook, we would be delighted to hear from you! ‘News’ Drainage work is almost complete, tidy up work will commence as soon as the drier weather moves in ! Happy Flying ! |
