Well the new season is upon us but the weather is still pretty miserable at this time of the year. Some of us have been busy over the winter months crafting our latest project and the first one out of the blocks is this beautiful Graupner Starlet at 2.4 M span. Here we see the model undergoing a C of G test , which was carried out in the warmth of the Clubhouse and the model was nearly perfect only requiring 200 gm of nose weight. She looks great and should take to the sky shortly. See the proud owner looking on. Check back later for the flying shots
1/4 Scale Chipmunk in RCAF Scheme
Liam J has sent some information on his beautiful 1/4 Scale DHC-1 Chipmunk which he flies regularly at the Club. The plane is a superb flyer and has competed in many Scale competitions where it has placed highly in every event. He has supplied some of the build information for us too enjoy.
The Plane is a 1/4 super Scale Chipmunk DHC-1, Scratch built from a Jim Pepino plan.
Wingspan 103" , length 76", Powered with a Moki 45cc swinging a 22 x 10 prop
