The unseasonable weather may not have permitted flying but as the members were fully charged and ready for action today they decided to turn their hands to site improvements. After some initial planning, checking of materials , sorting of tools, some head scratching and the necessary (severall) cups of tea, the small army of dedicated workers set about their allotted tasks to extend our fencing area to make ready for more benches in our pitts area. Yes it is true many hands do make light work. The area looks great - ready for the next stage soon.
We have had a great spell of fine weather over the last few days and this has led to some of the storage queens making an appearance. As well as this we have had birthday celebrations on the field and a delicious cake for us all from his wife.
The weather improved on Sunday and a few of our members took to the clear blue skies for some relaxation. The crop of new models for the year are starting to make their appearance and the first one out was Jim's enlarged version of this tried and trusted model. Maybe more next week ?
At last the weather was kind to us today - the first truly flyable day we have had in a long while brought out the flyers and their latest creations. I guess some of us had a busy winter building and I am told there are more new planes to follow - enjoy the photos of a great day's flying
